Ladies came along on the evening – some with friends, their mum or their sister, and some came on their own and made friends when they were there, but all had a ball rummaging through the clothes and trying on items that were new to them. In addition they browsed the stalls and had a glass or two in the bar.
So What Happens Next…
Nothing goes to waste, nothing goes in the bin!
On the night there was a raffle with prizes donated by the stall holders, and all money raised (£60) went to a local charity – Women’s Aid in Newark. Then after everyone went home, I went through the left over clothes and separated out the suitable items to donate to Women’s Aid. There were also some evening dresses, which I took to the Cancer Research Shop as they had helped me with coat hangers, but I was very happy to give Lisa from Women’s Aid 4 bags full of everyday clothes or clothes ideal for returning to work.
All in all a good evening’s shopping!
