Do You Want to be a Mob Wife?

In contrast to the Quiet Luxury winter trend, we have the less than quiet Mob Wife. Quiet Luxury is subtle and sophisticated whereas the Mob Wife is anything but subtle – think fur and animal print, Goodfellas meets Kat Slater.

It’s bold and brash and in your face, certainly not for the faint hearted, it’s big and ever so slightly trashy but most of all it’s fun and a complete contrast to the safety of Quiet Luxury. However, you don’t have to go all out Carmela Soprano to enjoy this microtrend, you can take elements and work it into an aesthetic that suits your style, and that is how this trend will have longevity. Let’s be honest, the full look with (faux) fur coats and black leather won’t work past March because *hopefully* it’ll be too warm to be practical. However gold jewellery, animal print and a red lip can be worn all year round. So, don your biggest sunglasses, a slinky dress and remember that the bigger the hair the better!

An extreme Mob Wife look, a touch of leopard print, big hair, gold jewellery and a red lip will tick all the boxes

Which fashion camp do you fall in? I don’ think it’s hard to work out which one I’m loving….
